Hi After all this time, there are still no helpful treatments (that the physicians I've seen know of) for red hot flushing. This vascular / vasomotor /thermoregulatory / sympathetic nervous system problem can be devastating. No herbs, treatments, oral medications I've been prescribed have helped, and I am considered perimenopausal. My life is a nightmare with no sleep and pain to differing degrees all the time. The red hot skin is so painful that every aspect of my life is affected. Drs think I also have rosacea lymphedema (My face can swell with this severe flushing that leads to migraines, nausea, light-headedness and shakiness) and porphyria b/c of my exteme flushing response to any warmth and lights. My test results for uroporphyrins are quite high, but I don't have blisters or other symptoms. Does anyone have anything like this or any suggestions?I've stumped many doctors, including at a university and Mayo.I am 32 and have had this severe pain put my life on hold for the two years since it began. I would greatly appeciate any advice or shared experiences.. Thank you. I hope everyone finds answers and their health improves greatly. Take care, Lee angelee214@webtv.net
