Consider this as a possibility...after extensive treatments with permithren, elimate, and/or other such topical "poisens" perhaps what you are experiencing is adermatological reaction to those chemicals as opposed to actual infestion of parasites. with lice you can actually see the louse or the nits, but even if you do see what you think are little black spots at the center of your itchy sores, well I read it on some of the warning labels of Nix, that in fact a secondary dermatitus is frequently caused by use of the topical poisens sometimes after all pf the actual parasites have been killed. And they said that this type of dermatitus very closely mimicks the actual skin problems of infestation...the itching the redness, sores, etc...If you've been to a Dr. who has taken a skin culture and confirmed that you have no parasites, then try leaving your skin alone for awhile...seriously, I struggled with this for two years thinking all the time that I must have been reinfesting myself through clothes or the carpet or something, using way too much RID for way too long and then one day I just stopped. Granted the first few daYS WERE HARD NOT TO ITCH OR TO REACH FOR the nix, but lo and behold the next day sores began to slowly heal and I found that if I could refrain from picking or scratching at my skin symptoms, sores soon were gone. I really mean this!
