CERVICAL DYSPLASIA

Sorry, I cannot tell you that LEEP is a better choice of the two in terms of comfort. I had LEEP procedure just over a week ago to remove two specimens from my cervix. This included a cone biopsy done by LEEP. My doctor did not keep me very informed. I went to the appointment expecing a colposcopy and one biopsy by LEEP. Instead, he did not do colposcopy and did two LEEP specimen removals instead. I found it extremely painful, but I had told him before that local anesthesia is not effective for me a the dentist either. The results of my test indicate that more tissue needs to be removed and the procedure of choice appears to be LEEP. My doctor refused to believe I had pain. I now have an appointment with another doctor. In terms of discomfort after the procedure; I have cramping that I can control pretty easily with ibuprofin. There are some strange discharges, and you cannot put anything in vagina for 3-4 weeks.
