This is for Jennifer. I am 52 years old and recently, I have been diagnosed with RP. For over 25 years, I have been fighting blindness. I was told some years ago that I may have RP but there were so many other problems, that the drs. could not say that it was RP. Now in my old age, I am told. However, I still have much to do. I believe in a God who hold me in His hands, I too was told that by the time I was 40, I would be blind. I just recently stopped driving, I have raised a family, taken care of sick family members, completed my Masters, and am preparing to become a foster mother. I have traveled, changed careers, and in September, I will be going back to school. God has been good to me and I believe that if I did not have my faith in Him to sustain me these many years, I would be completely blind. Yes, I bump into things, I knock things over, I bump into people, I say I'm sorry, pick things up and keep on moving. Keep a positive attitude, be kind and polite to people, don't let your problem control you, people will be there for you to support you. The main thing is that He will not leave you nor forsake you.
