I am 26 and a twin. The two of us were diagnosed with RP. Our biological father has this disease and now has tunnel vision. My twins RP is not as progressive as mine. The doctor told me that I would be blind by the time I am 40. He told me that there is nothing that they can do, but to try to protect my eyes as best as possible. My only hope is God. I've been reading the posts and there has not been anything Spiritually uplifting- and I believe that we all need this. It tends to be the best medicine for me. I have been blessed with so much in my life and I do not question God about this disease. I know that He is going to use me with or without my vision. I can be sour about it or I can look to God and enjoy the time that is left with my eyes- look for the beauty in things- My two sons, my husband, the land, the people, the sunsets. Enjoy it while I can. I know that I will see again- either from a miraculous cure or when I get to Heaven. Please respond if you feel even partially the way that I do. I hope that nobody gets offended, but please try to look at the beauty of things and don't waste your time about it!
