Hello I have sickle cell disease and have gone through some real bad times with pain. Now I am on a time release morphine pill, you take twice a day. There are some programs for people who have this disease. Salvation Armys has a program to help those who cannot afford medicine. Check with your Lions Clubs. Also SSI will see to it that she had a medical card for medicine. "The American Disability Act" said she is entitled to have adquate medical services. Another avaenue is to check with your information & referral in your area to find out what services they have avaiable in your areas to assist someone with this disease. Ask them to direct you to medical care and or prevention for someone who do not have services for this disease.
