My son Cody is 9 years old, and has Fragile X Syndrome. He's mildly retarted and has some autism. He's been going through an aggressive time here lately. Spitting at classmates and siblings, hitting, cussing. He's been in school since he was one, so it's not like he doesn't know appropriate behavior. I'm not sure what to do. The medicines he takes are Dexedrine, clonodine, risperdal, paxil. It just seems to be a no win situation. Just when you think everything is going well, he'll lash out for no reason. Before we could kinda gage when things weren't well. I need some info on sensory integration. I spoke with a lady with the foundation, and she recommended a childs behavior Physcologist, but what good is that when he bounces off the wall when he sees a doctor, and plus you wait an hour in the waiting room. Fragile X children do not like to wait very long for anything. He's a beautiful child, and comes from a loving home. There really isn'y alike for him to be upset with, and this is why I'm asking for advise.
