My child was diagnosed with A.S. when he was around 10 years old. He is now 15 years old. I can recommend a book to you called Asperger's Syndrome, A Guide for Parents and Professionnals by Tony Attwood. He himself has a sister-in-law with A.S. and is also an International speaker on this subject. A.S. is a complexe syndrome, but there are a lot of things that can be done, once you know what those things are. For example individual with A.S. do not learn social skills, facial expressions or body language of others intuitively, but all this can be taught to the person with A.S.
