Patsy, I will be glad to talk to you about my situation. I am 39 now and I have suffered with hip bursitis since a lifting injury in may of 1995, I have suffered every single day. You asked about surgery. I do not believe that everyone has the same result at least the doctors keep telling me they do have people who recover from surgery and I had a hip orthopedic dr. tell me last week they do this every time they replace a hip and the patients are saying thank you, obviously I told him I am not saying thank you, it has ruined my life. This dr. says I am a rare one that does not get better but I sure do see plenty of people on this site who are suffering chronically like you and me. I have had it twice and I am no better. I have been told by a lot of doctors it is chronic and I know at our age it is hard to deal with.
