I have RSD which is a dreadfully painful disease and trust me I know all about pain and the depression it causes. Not to mention the frustration with getting a physician to understand just what someone in constant pain lives with. Depression is inevitable no matter how strong we are. I know the relief of hydrotherapy as it is what helps me deal on a day to day basis. Please get her a Hot Tub for your home,it made a world of difference for me as I can get the much needed relief at any time day or night. The depression needs to be addressed and treated as well, there are several antidepresant meds out there that also help emensly with the pain. When I was first prescribed Wellbutrin I asked my doctor if he too thought I was going crazy he said no that the prescription would help with pain therefore reducing the accociated depression. He was right! With RSD there are flare-ups also and just having the hot tub to use as often as needed lessens the severity of them and also the length of time they last. It is a worth while investment and if a doctor wirte a RX for a hot tub (Hot Springs Spas are great!) it is tax deductable and in my case my insurer paid for it and the installation in my home. Good Luck and I pray she has pain tolerable days ahead. Barbara
