I was diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri in 12/98 . I have undergone 5 surgeries in 6 months(Lumbar Periteneal and Lumbar Pleural shunts) I am having such a hard time finding a doctor in my area that knows enough about this rare disorder and all of it's horrible effects on my life. Pain control is a major issue, and I am tired of being treated like a drug addict instead of somebody that is ill and in pain. I wake up most days with a "pressure headache" and ptosis of my right eye. My doctors are too busy or they just don't care to help me get to the bottom of this, they do not listen and seem very abrasive. I am in contact with N.O.R.D. and the Pseudotumor Cerebri Network, however I need help in MY area.
