CANDY
MY DAUGHTER WAS DIAGNOSED HYPOGLYCEMIC AT 8 YEARS OLD, SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT AT 2, BUT WE FOUND A PEDIATRICIAN THAT SPECIALIZED IN DIABETIC CHILDREN. HE WAS ABLE TO MONITOR AND TAILOR MAKE A DIET PLAN JUST FOR HER. WE STARTED WITH A DIABETIC DIET AND MADE ADJUSTMENTS FOR HER HEIGHT AND WEIGHT AND ACTIVITY LEVEL. IT WORKED BETTER THAN THE NUTRITIONIST WE FIRST WORKED WITH. THE GOOD NEWS IS SHE IS YOUNG ENOUGH TO NOT QUESTION THE DIET AND WILL COME TO THINK OF IT AS NO DIFFERENT THAN ANYONE ELSES. WE HAD A FEW PROBLEMS IN THAT AREA. WE DID CONQUER AND AT 26 SHE CONTROLS HER OWN AND IT DIDN'T GET WORSE. I THINK IT HELPED THAT WE STUCK TO THE DIET THAT IT DIDN'T GET WORSE. GOOD LUCK-YOU'LL DO FINE.
