I went through an operation for anal fistula in which the doctor thread a loose string through the tunnel of the fistula [the string is is tied like a ring and supposed to cut the tunnel outwards] and I have it already for 4 month and my questions is [1] how is it supposed to cut through the flesh if it's not tight and it have 3 sm spare that i can thread my finger trough ? [2] is it OK to tighten the string myself [like threading a pen or something through the space] in order to make it work faster ? [3]is there any sign in the budy which can tell me when is the time to take it out? and how should the place of the fistula look like in the final stage? [are the two holes of the fistula should come close together are what? ] THANK YOU in advance for your reply .
