Gary
Hello Eileen: I have the condition known as achromatopsia, which I have known for years. However, the actual diagnosis was made just recently when I went to visit a new eye specialist. Although I completed school many years ago, I work very closely with various departments of educations, and have slightly over 50 years experience living with the eye condition. I am extremely sensitive to bright light, which is expected with the condition. Over the years, I have had th eoppportunity of meeting and comparing notes with a few other achomats, and it seems that I am more sensitive than others. Even with the most ideal sun glasses, I am still very uncomfortable outdoors on a bright day. If you wish to correspond about this subject and your daughter, I would welcome you doing so. I find it always helps to talk these things out. I could write much more now, but I am not even sure if you will get this message or not. Please write me at anytime, and I will definatly respond. Yours Truly, Gary
