i had endometriosis for over ten years. trying to get a doctor to understand what is causing the pain is diffucult. i was treated for endometriosis by six different doctors, never solving the problem. the first doctor did a laporoscopy, removing 12 pounds of scar tissue, one ovary & tube, but could not get it all out. the next doctor put me on lupron that worked for one month. my last doctor did a laporoscopy & said he did not find anything. still in pain and with uncontrolable bleeding, i went to the emergency room. the doctor there said the only way to cure it was a hysterectomy. not having insurance at the time, that was not an option for me. i found this clinic, went to it to have an ultrasound. that test showed nothing because endometriosis does not appear in an ultrasound i was told. i had the hysterectomy, with difficulty. the test results showed endometriosis. i got out of the hospital. had to recover for 6 weeks. while recovering, i rolled over in my bed and the same pain i had before came back. come to find out, i also had diverticulitis and endometriosis (pockets formed in your intestine which causes severe pain). try to explore your symptoms to better explain to your doctor so he/she may help you better.
