The US FDA has just said that "upsetting and frightening" graphic health warnings must be added to all packets of cigarettes.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that tobacco use is responsible for 443,000 U.S. deaths each year and costs nearly $200 billion every year in medical costs and lost productivity.
With 443,000 US deaths from tobacco use annually surely the real question is why the FDA allows any tobacco products to be sold in the US at all?
