Hello,
I am Italian and live in Italy.
My name is Joseph and I am 50 years old.
On 1st September I had a motorbike accident.
I fell very violently, banging my head on the ground. The helmet protected me, but only in part. It was a shock, partly because the person who made me fall with his motorcycle ran off without stopping.
It 'was my first accident. I'm very emotional.
They took me to hospital by ambulance.
While I was in hospital I noticed I suddenly had a twitch in my left eye. When I got home the tick has changed into a contraction on the left side of my face.
And now, three weeks after the accident, the contractions are even stronger.
I performed a magnetic resonance angiography, X-rays , high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computerized tomography (CT) to the head but found no neuro vascular anomalies or any problems.
I pray to overcome this problem soon.
But I have a friend who had a motorcycle accident 10 years ago and since then has a Facial Hemispasm.
How can a facial trauma cause a disease like this?
Are you aware of any cases similar to mine that have been resolved?
I would not want to become chronic spasms!
I am grateful for any information you may be able to give me.
Best regards
