Charles Dietsch
I am a male Caucasian, 69, 5'10", 140 lbs., and was diagnosed with the subject condition in Sept. '95. I take Promatine (5mgs lxday) and Florinef (.05mg. every other day). My cardiologist is great, but I still have this nasty condition. In fact, I recently lost consciousness for a few seconds while sitting on a park bench! Drinking plenty of liquids, using salt, taking excellent care of myself, walking at least 3 miles/day, and getting plenty of rest have done little, if anything, for my condition (I do not have diabetes, or any other illness, nor do I smoke nor drink). In fact, after a Thallium Test (I think that's what it's called), my doctor told me I had the "heart of Superman." In fact, as I type this, I am experiencing "waves of discomfort"; i.e., like I'm ready to faint. Please, if anyone has some answers, I will be grateful. (Several years ago I had a Tilt Table test. While in the vertical position for 21 minutes, my pressure dropped to 66/29. The nurse returned me to the horizontal position, gave me water and orange juice, and my pressure returned to normal.) One more thing: in '95, while being examined by a Social Security doctor (after reluctantly applying for Disability Benefits), I collapsed in his office while he was examining me in the vertical position. I was approved for benefits in less than 3 months. THANK YOU!
