Hi I have recently been told that I have to go see a surgeon for my gall bladder because I have gall stones. Can anyone tell me do you always have to have your gall bladder removed if you have gall stones? Are there other treatments? And what are they? Everything I read says that most of them are removed and I would rather keep mine if at all possible. Help.... I am 36 yrs. old and have been having these atacks in my back that feel like I am being squeezed and have a knife like pain in my sternum area. Not on the right, not after I eat, none of the typical symptoms. But evidently the ultra-sound showed gall stones. Please send me some information if anyone has any. Thank You!
