For 15 years after my Gall Bladder was removed, I had to hurry to the bathroom after any meal with extreme loose stools and gas. Two years ago, after having my appendix out, I went to a post op appointment with my new surgon. She asked if I was having any stool problems. I jokingly said only the loose stools since my gall bladder was out... She smiled and said that she had the same problem when she had hers out. After commisserating and finding similar symtoms, she shared that she takes 2 or 3 metamucil tablets once each morning and that keeps her regular without running to the john. I've taken 2 each morning for the last two years and I haven't had a "hurry up" experience since and my colestrol is down also! Worked for me!
