My 55th birthday present was pmr. I was lucky with my doctor treating lots of retired aged gals, knew enough to run a couple of blood tests. This was about a year ago. Started at 30 mg and right down to 5 in a month or so. Flare up and now back to 20. I was told this may be brought on sometimes from a low grade infection of some kind. Maybe a sinus or tooth problem you don't really notice. I wonder if anyone has tried large dosages of vitamins or radical change in diet, adding lots of steamed and fresh vegs, to try to help rid us of this thing? If anyone has heard or knows of someone trying this,please let us all know. After the HolidaysI am going to ask my doctor about trying some Vitamin C or B shots. Good luck to all.
