Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I'm 29. I had my tonsils taken out on Thursday October 14th. I'm having a really hard time swallowing. If I close my mouth and try to swallow, the fluid just comes through my nose or I feel like I'm about to suffocate. The only way I can swallow is by sliding water to the back of my throat and letting the reflex take over. Not pretty. I've tried eating KFC mashed potatoes, pudding, baby food and yogurt. The only thing that I can actually swallow is Jello. Thank god for Jello. I've lost 10 lbs in 5 days but, I am starvin' like Marvin! Has anyone had any success with other foods? I've looked through the other posts and it seems like I've tried them all. Thanks, Hungry in Jersey
