I was diagnosed with congential nystagmus at 3 yo. I have done relatively well according to my ophthalmologist in that I completed college, but could not pursue my dream of being a veterinarian. I see barely 20/40 with lenses and 20/50-60 with glasses. I find it frustrating and annoying at times trying to focus on a series of numbers, etc. I must plot landmarks and directions for driving every carefully and give myself plenty of time because I can't see street signs far enough in advance as others. I make plenty of U-turns. My Chinese acupuncturist tried to work with this for a while, but there was no change. Is there a treatment to lessen the severity of this condition?
