A stomach ulcer can be treated several ways. Many are caused by a bacteria, which can be medicated. Others are the result of aspirin use, which simply requires you to stop taking aspirin. Others are alchohal-related. Same Rx there. I had one for 30 years that simply refused to heal. We know now why - a blood disorder - but the result was a hemi-gastrectomy. In short, no ulcer is "small." They are all serious and can have lifetime complications. Find the right treatment path and stick to it. Otherwise, you'll end up like me, which is not something you would want. Bob
