Hi, I went on a air trip to New York with a cold. I had ear pain, trouble equalizing when landing. After that I was fine for about 9 days. I woke up with ear pain, that stuffed feeling in my right ear and an incessant ringing. It has been three weeks. I have been given two types of antibotics by two different doctors. No change. I have gone to a specialist who took the hearing, pressure tests. He said there's some reduced hearing in my right ear and his reports show conflicting information over whether there's fluid or not. He also said I could have permanent ear damage....I am quite depressed...I don't understand how ear damage could occur 9 days later? And, why the ringing will not stop...he said it may never stop. The next step is to get that ear drum perforation to see if there's fluid! Any advice? Could my ears be permanently damaged or am I suffering from blocked station tubes???
