If you know that you have a reaction from garlic, onions, and acidic foods, why don't you just stop eating them. Isn't that simple enough? My son worked till 9:30 p.m. and when we came home we would have a 10 p.m. meal. When I ate pizza and other similar foods I will have a horrible night. Watching a movie or the news and having a few chocolates worsened the problem. When I went to the doctor, I was set up for all sorts of x-rays and tests and then given acid reflux capsules. The problem was solved in a very simple manner. I stopped eating after 7 p.m. and avoided things such as pizza and lasagne and don't eat chocolates in the evening nor any alcohol. I just use moderation and my head. If you know what is causing the problem, avoid it and it is simple enough without extensive therapy and medication.
