In the year 2000 I had to have my sm intestine removed due to a blod clot. For a few years before I had been on thyroid med and the pill for acne, thyroid problems and inregular menstral cycles. After my 22 birthday i started to get sick in my tonsiles and my dr desided to take them out, everything went well besides the size (one was the size of a golf ball)and i was sent home to recover. with in one week i was vomiting uncontrolably and had been to the hospital 2 times and was sent home, and finaly the addmitted me for observation for shock. soon after i was rushed to the or for exploritory surgery. opon oppening me up the surgen found that the first part of my sm intestine was cloged with blod backing into the rest of my orgens. he then took 2 1/2 feet of the damaged intestine out, hopping that would save me. i had to fight for life for several weeks in a coma, and a month in the hospital. i have since recoverd and have very little side affects. however the medical staff from my town and a few other dr have no clue why thins happend. poss, the birth control and family history, but manny tests have not given an answer. i wonder if any one has had the same thing, or has anyideas on why this happend thank you for reading my story maja
