I am wondering if what I experienced is bursitis in my knee ..how did any of you reach that diagnosis? My mother who I care for has parkinsen disease and all of a sudden she is having severe hip pain. Xrays show the hip to be ok and a sonagram showed no blood clots.We both have arthritis and take anti inflamatories but she is in so much pain she cant get comfortable when she sits or lays down..she already couldnt stand but for a min due to her other health problems. No doctor ever mentioned bursitis to us ...Any input that we can get will be of tremendous help. My main question is how was the diagnosis of bursitis reached..based on what?
