I've had about 6 total Remicaid treatments over about a 2 year time period - but that was several years ago. Guess I should say3 to 4 years ago. As we couldn't get me into remmission otherwise. But since then due to some changes including finding a good integration MD and new GI MD I'm doing much better with my Crohn's overall, I have had a flareup, but it's back in remmission without having to go to remicaid. Oh yeah - I never had any problem with the remicaid that I recall. But I have a lot of additional medical challenges besides crohn's and am on a lot of other perscriptions, so don't know that I'd notice everything anyway. But if you're having problems getting or staying in remission, depending on your age, I'd recommend trying it. It's usually given three times I think within a three month period? But I do know it's a set of three doses. Sometimes the doses may be 8 weeks apart, but theres where it varies greatly by doctor and your progress. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll be like me and start responding well to the very first dose! I said something about your age, because remicaid CAN be a significant drug that should not be taken lightly. For instance I'm in my late 40's and with all my problems, I rather quality than quantity, however if you're young and perhaps still wanting to have a family or something, then your priorities are different, and you might need to look into whether the risks are worth it in your case... Good luck!
