I slipped on the ice last week and twisted my knee. That night my knee locked up for a few seconds, with a burning sensation on the side of the knee. It then would pop and I had instant relief. Three days later it locked again, but took 15 minute to release. THe next morning it locked up completely, again. This time it would not unlock. Went to the emerg. care and doc there said I probably had a bucket tear. He sent me to a Orthopedic doctor. He took x-rays and said it was artritis! I never knew I had artritis in the knee until then. He said that when I twisted it, I aggravitate it. He gave me a cortisone shot. That has not helped at all. Went to Phy Therapy and he said that something was probably floating around inside the knee and lodged in the hinge of the knee. Don't see the Orthopedic for another 3 weeks. It's so painful. Has anyone else had this happen after just twisting their knee? What did they dx with you and what was the outcome?
