I was injured at work and through Worker's comp was sent to a doctor and returned to work. I worked through pain for 4 months because I was told I only had arthritis. When I finally got an MRI it was determined I had 4 herniated disks C4-C7. I had surgery on C5 & C6 and have been in therapy 3X a week for 8 months. I still have numbness and pain in my right arm and right thumb and Middle finger and have little strength in my right arm. The pain is constant and my doctor doesn't prescribe pain meds so I sleep very little.I have little normal motion in my neck and I have a hard time driving and do not drive far or on highways. WC keeps sending me to doctor's that are over 50 miles away and now I have to take the train which is a painful trip for me. I am over 9 months post surgery. Has anyone else had these experiences that can offer advice. I keep hitting brick walls at every turn. These people have NO idea what the depression is like being out of work for 15 months so far (I work in a warehouse where you have to be able to lift up to 75 lbs)I'm used to working two jobs and had to sell my home so far. PLEASE if someone else has had these problems please write. It may help with these feelings of extreme depression and frustration. Does anyone know the rate of success on these multi-layer surgeries? I will gladly listen to the good and bad. Thank you and God bless!
