I have been to the foot doctor for a hammertoe which looks horrible even though there is no pain associated with it. The bump is red. The foot doctor told me to come back if it got really bad and I could have surgery. I do not want surgery but was wondering if there is any kind of splint to be put on the toe (next to the big toe) to avoid having the big toe drift over to become crooked and maybe give me a bunion. Thanks a lot.
