Interesting you should ask... I am having my tonsils out June 10 because of this exact problem. I have consulted with one of the best surgeons. He basically said it won't go away and this is the main reason adults have them out. I just can't deal with it anymore. I always feel like I am swallowing my tonsil. I know it will be painful, but 2 weeks of pain is better than the rest of my life digging disgusting stuff out of my tonsils.
