Wait at least 3 years before you have another surgery. It takes a long time to recover from a back surgery. I had this same ailment. I let my docter do a fusion, and put in pins and screws. I am a very active woman and it has slowed me down. The leg pain can be controlled. Lay on your back and bring one leg up to your chest and hold it to the count of five. Release and do the other leg. Repeat this at least 5 times several times a day. Also put ice on the area where the leg hurts. It will take the swelling out of the area. Think twice before having another. After surgery my bottom or tail bone slipped out. and the disk above the L4 is rubbing on the fusion. The scar tissue will hurt even more. I hope you get another opinion on this.
