Hana
Hello, I am so sorry for what is going on for you and your husband. Please read my reply posting to the last pulmonary embolism posting several days ago. I came very close to death with (not the same) but blood problems. Discovering that I have antiphospholipids (though I stayed very active), I clotted and had pulmonary embolism, a very bad case. Then, soon after that, I had brain hemorrhage and needed surgery. After, they discovered that i had ITP, meaning that at the same time with the risk of clotting, I also had the bad problem of excessively thinning blood too much at the same time as risking clotting. Coumadin was NOT a good medication for me, from my experience, as we believe it caused the blood thinning for me, so I am on Lovenox, an injection daily long term. Also, for when I undergo big events such as surgery, I go on Heparin in the hospital. This is a much stronger blood thinner. If your hubby's case for clotting is very bad, what if he went on Lovenox or even Heparin? You should make sure that you are seeing the docotrs you really need to see with the most experiece about this. Feel free to email me at Loen210@aol.com. Just put my name Hana in the subject, since I get so much trash mail. Best Wishes and Hugs to you and your husband, Hana
