Has anyone here ever had amyloidosis deposits build up in the bladder? I had to have surgery in March of 2002 to remove 2 tumors which were preventing my bladder from emptying properly. Als have suffered slight damage to my left kidney because of this disease. So far my bone marrow biopsey and all follow up blood work show no progression of the disease at this time. At the last cystoscopy iI had the remaining tumors in my bladder were apparently shrinking. However a vaginal ultrasound showed some tumors in my uterus and on my overies. I have not agreed to a hysterectomy at this point, which is what my doctor wishes to do to me. Since getting this disease I have been put on high blood pressure meds, as my blood pressure was off the charts a few monthes after the surgery I had. Can anyone relate here to whatI am going through. Should I get another opinion on my condition, is it possible I will have no more problems with this stuff spreading to other organs? Am I looking a t a survival rate of 3 to 5 yrs as I have been reading about with this disease or is it possible that things will be ok with me? Any responses will be appreciated
