I just ready about this syndrome a week ago and now I'm thinking this may have been what my problem has been all my life. I had infertily problems, gain weight at puberty, and had a hormone imbalance, etc. Have been overweight the rest of my life and I'm 50 now. Last June I had a hysterectomy and since then I've been losing weight. So far I've lost 45 lbs. I need to lose the weight, but wonder if this was my problem, would having the ovaries removed during my surgery result in weight lost now? I can't seem to find anything referring to this.
