I have had high liver enzyme counts for years, starting about your age. No one told me then it was anything to worry about - no explanation. Then, when I got older and started having physicals my doctor sent me to an internist because I had some ulcer problems. From there the internist thought I was a heavy drinker and told me he just knew I had had hepatitus; however, I went through all the tests and nothing showed up. They did a biopsey and said My whole liver had fatty nodules. They told me to have blood work done once a year to make sure it doesn't get worse, and that the liver, of course, is not filtering like it should so I need to watch my diet - like fried foods, etc. and not to drink alcohol. I have drank very little in my life so not a problem and to lose 50 lbs. The weight should help my problem a lot - I haven't been able to lose the weight yet as I have other ongoing health problems so am going to really have to think about it. I was told that if my liver got a lot worse I was still young enough to get a transplant - age 62? not sure about that either. Good luck.
