Has anyone had any contact or experience with FASD? If the birth mom drank during pregnancy, it is possible that there was damage done to the child. Some of these 'hidden' disabilities include loss of ability to see cause and effect; difficulty handling money and time concepts; inability to plan or navigate one's way thru life; poor judgment. Other disabilites can include ADHD, inability to process abstract information; behavior problems; problems with the law; inappropriate sexual behavior; lying; stealing. If the diagnosis is FASD, the problems are due to frontal lobe brain damage from the alcohol.
