Iam an RN, and worked for this nursin home not too far from where I lived. This lady came in..was bout my age, and our nightmares began. We could not do anything for anyone but her. She had this gaping wound..2 I recall, and was on so much medication it would kill an elephant. She was very demanding of our time, and delighted in gettin us in trouble. She would lie like the proverbial rug if it meant one of us was about to lose our job. Finally, none of us could go in by ourselves, and nurses had to go in with nurses. Her favorite trick was to make us take off her colostomy pouch.clean her all up,get it like she wanted it,then, even if it took 2 hours to do it,she would rip everything off,and tell our DON that it wasnt done. She scream at the top of her voice, and one time durng a yelling match with our unit manager, she ripped her colostomy bag off, and hurled it at her. Were we glad the day her sister was here, and demanded an ambulance to take B. to the hospital for better pain control. She was my patient that day, and as I recall,no one shed tears to see the coat tails of this one. We all were very glad, but at the same time, feared for ou licenes, because rumor had it that she had a tape recorder somewhere on that mess of a bed.We realized that she was termanilly ill, but we had never seen a "psychopath" like her. She was mean, cruel, and very intimadating..running off the very staff members she needed the most at a very critical time in her life
