Carcinoid Syndrome
my dad was diagonosed with inoperable Liver cancer last year. He has too many spots on his liver to count and they are caused by some other cancer that metastisized to his liver. they cannot find the originla tumor/cancer but are treating his liver with Sandostatin. He was on an additional drug --Xeloda--that had terrible side effects. the doctos have stopped the Xeloda and plan to injuect some other anticancer agent right into his hepatic artery next month. Carcinoid syndrome is fairly rare. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with experience in this disease.
