Hi, I was browsing on healthlink usa tonight & saw your message about the young man with NF2. My sister who is 49 was diagnosed with advanced NF2 this past Sept. We are from Alabama & she chose to have her surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Mn. in Nov. on her left acoustic nerve.While there, we met with a specialist in Genetics who was extremely helpful. There is a good bit of information on the internet also.I also contacted our Alabama Institute for the Deaf & Blind & they sent us a packet of very informative info. plus a list of people in the U.S. that have NF2 & are willing to share their trials & successes with the disorder.
