My dad is in the hospital with emphysema exacerbation. He never has been hospitalized for an episode of this.His breathing suddenly became almost nil without the help of 02. He is now getting some kind of k-pac treatment which I have never heard of. He then told me he had signed a dnr form in the event he dies not to be resuscitated ... do you think he has a chance of pulling through this crippling evil disease? Or will it just continue to worsen with every new coming episode.I made him switch the dnr order back to "resusitate" in case of the need. He is not termially ill and I got pretty angry at them for not confronting me with the matter. Will he pull out of this with the help of learning to live in a different manner and if so can you suggest some antidotes in helping to make this horrible disease tolerable .... thankyou, Laurie C
