Hi. I am 20 years old and was just told by my doctor that I have to have my tonsils taken out because I have "diseased" tonsils from the mono I had a year ago. My doctor told me that the recovery time is a little longer than it would be for a child. If anyone has had a tonsilectomy, please let me know what to expect. And also, I heard that your voice changes after the surgery. Is that true? I should be going in to have it done the first week of November. Thanks.
