I have had keratoconus for over 30 years. I cannot be corrected by glasses. I have a wonderful optomotrist at UCLA who has been able to correct me to 20/20 and 20/25 by special contact lenses. Also, if your keratoconus gets worse you may need a corneal transplant. I would suggest you go to a University type hospital like Jules Stein at UCLA or U.C. San Francisco. If untreated it can get worse and be harder to correct. My advice is find another doctor at a large medical center.
