My husband and I recently tried to get pregannt. However, I got my period on time and fiugred it didn't work this time. A week later, I began to bleed again and became concerned. I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive. I went to my doctor the next day and took a blood test. Also came back positive, however the doctor was concerned that my progesterone levels were a little low. I went back a few day later for another blood test. Results showed that although my HCG increased, my progesterone slightly dropped. The nurse informed me that I was most likely miscarrying. Since then (almost 2 weeks ago), my breasts have been larger and very tender and I have had an almost constant state of low level nausea. I took another home preganncy test and the resutls were still positive. Does anyone know how long it takes for the HCG to drop? Has anyone eperinced a resurgence of progesterone despite an initial dropping? This was/is my first pregnancy and as you can imagine, I am heartbroken and in much denial that it is not going to come to fruition. Any adivce, past experiece etc... would be very welcomed. Thanks.
