I am 24 years old and struggling with the idea of having PCOS. Over the past four months I have been to the hospital and doctors several times because of this pain in my abdominal area and back. Each and everytime thay looked at it from the urological point of view. I have been diagnosed with kidney infections, bladder infections, kidney stoes, etc... This last episode ended when I had a CT scan to rule out kidney stones and they found enlarged ovaries instead. ( I have suspected PCOS but none of the tests that were performend came back positive) I visited my GYN shortly after this discovery... he suggested doing a laparoscopy to remove the cysts that are present and putting me on different birth control pills. Does this sound like a reasonable plan? I feel like I have had a mojor run around and I am frusterated not to mention I can't stand the way I look. The skin tags, acne and hair just steal any amount of self-confidence that I have. If you have any suggestions or comments please let me know.
