Try the Protein Power, Carbohydrate Addicts, or even LA Weight Loss diets. They all increase protein to balance insulin levels and reduce intake of carbohydrates. Mainstream medicine is just now acknowledging the existence of this. Being unable to lose weight on standard low fat/ high carb diets is just one symptom and not everyone has to have it. This diet will also improve the other ill effects of high insulin levels, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, allergies, arthritis, osteoporosis risk, decreased progesterone in women (causing unopposed estrogen problems). These all have to do with insulin making your body store fat and retain water. This is such a critical comdition. Word needs to be out there for the thousands of people who have been told for years that they just need to try harder on that low fat/high carb diet. It is killing those who have this condition. Unfortunately it makes insulin levels too high in normal people too and may eventually cause them to have the same problems. This can lead to Type II Diabetes and Coronary artery disease.
