Just been diagnosed with tilted Uterus and Fibroids: Doctor's recommendations: a) partial histerechtomy b) Ventrosuspension (pull unterus forward, removal of fibroid at back, right of uterus; and it's possible that my right ovary may have attached to the back of my uterus as well - if so, my doctor wants to separate this at the same time. My symptoms are severe pain during menses in my right, rear hip area just behind the buttox. The pain is getting more severe over time and is starting to be there without menses. I have been going to the doctor for over 2 years to get diagnosis and have nad many tests. Another doctor thinks it is the ichial tuberosity that goes into spasm while having menses and has recommended cortosone shots to the area affected while having the pain. Please help, if you can, with answers, suggestions, etc. e.g.: side effects of surgery, removal of fibroids (will they come back)? My doctor said that even though he will pull the uterus forward, in a year or two it may need to be done again? Will the cut above my Bikini line, to remove the fibroids be a problem later (in regard to pain, possible muscle damage, or otherwise). If I get an operation and they need to do a partial hysterechtomy at a later date, will it be a problem if they need to cut me open again in the same area (over the same scar)? Again the pain is in the same spot, each time, during my menses, it is harsh enough to make me scream -- I take Tylenol 3 and Advil combined to take the pain away, it feels like someone is pushing on my sciatic nerve and I have ended up in emergency three times in the last 4 months, with the last visit ending up taking a shot of demerol in the buttox. Please help me if you can with any information and answers, suggestions, you may have... and thank you very much for your time and effort/s. Sincerely, Lucy
