Do not have surgery unless absolutely necessary!There is an occurance called failed back surgery that can occur and causes life long disability!The no numbmess is a good sign. Chronic pain is a symptom that can occur when the body fails to turn off the pain centers. Go see a neurologist and then see a pain clinic. Until bowel or bladder involvement occur and leg involvement occurs I would not even think about back surgery! Good luck and be careful.
